Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a large cast of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season moves, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
